How Diana decided she wanted the carpet tiles to go in.

This weekend we all worked at the offices as Jeff Kagel and his wife Teresa drove down from San Jose to install the carpet in the upstairs office.  Now Jeff and Teresa came down last year to install the carpet downstairs.  Jeff is a huge Star Trek fan who we met at the San Francisco Creation Star Trek convention in 2014.  He volunteers his time and got is the carpet at cost.  So when we finally had all the plans approved for the build out upstairs, we got to work.  Jeff and his wife were amazing and worked their butts off!  We owe them a big thanks!

Looks great, hope you all negotiated some tenant improvement allowances! If you all ever leave – someone is getting a very amazing building… so… just never leave!! haha

  • SFC3 says:

Hm.. carpet? Filming is supposed to start next month, no? I’d think finishing the sets would take priority.

    • Alec Peters says:

They are two different crews. The carpet team are volunteers as we CLEARLY stated in the blog post. Plus the work was done during the weekend when the construction crew doesn’t generally work.

In addition, shooting has been pushed back to March due to the lawsuit.

You really do need to trust we know what we are doing.

SFC3 what Alec is stating is true. My wife and I met Alec at a S.F. trek convention and she volunteered me to him to install the carpet. I brought her along to help and instructed Jarrod and Dom on how to hang the base. This was entirely a single weekend volunteer operation. Because Axanar is a movement!!

It’s great to see everything coming together and business as usual despite the recent events and daily unpleasantness in certain Facebook groups

    Well done to everyone concerned

  • HubcapDave says:

Looks like you’ll be needing doors & frames soon (they probably should have gone in before the carpet….. 😉 )

  • EJCox says:

Many thanks Jeff and Wife… Live long and prosper!!!

  • Ben Willis says:

This looks fabulous, Alec, Diana, and Team! I can’t wait to see it!

  • Looks good. Hope the studio does well. And hopefully the production will continue.

  • Russ says:

Hi Alec…are there any other sorts of motion pictures that the studio would ever do outside of scifi…say documentaries or even films on music icons ect…is this a direction Ares Studios could ever do

    • Alec Peters says:

Axanar Productions was set up to make a Star Trek fan film. We would love to do other work in the industry, but we will have to wait and see! For now we are entirely focused on making Axanar.
