Captain’s Log – Jan. 27th, 2016

Blackman SmallWednesday, January 27th, 2016

Yesterday was a great day as legendary Star Trek costume designer Robert Blackman came by Axanar.  he is consigning his collection of Star Trek costume sketches to my auction company, Propworx, and dropped everything off.  Diana and I spent a good hour with him, chatting about Star Trek and costuming.  He loved seeing all his costumes, that I have in my Star Trek collection.
And he is going to help with finishing Kharn’s costume for Axanar.

Today was a day away from the office for me.  I had a lunch with a bunch of geek friends to discuss some interesting projects.

At night I met with our new accountant, who will start working on all Axanar finances and handle all our bookkeeping moving forward.  This is an important step as we are going through the process of becoming a 501(c)3 non-profit.

That’s it for now!

Alec, great that you folks are going 501C3 as hopefully that will help make it clear to all the persons who couldn’t get past the “it’s a profit game” idea, that indeed, it is not. Hopefully this will cement the notion you folks are here for the fans and not the reverse. Great news!
