Captain’s Log – May 25th, 2017

By May 25, 2017 Captain's Log

Thursday, May 25th, 2017

Today was spent working on the Axanar script with my co-writer Bill Hunt.  This meant a 90 minute drive down to Orange County, but the benefit was we had lunch at my favorite OC restaurant, Sweet Basil Cafe in Costa Mesa.

We have been going to Sweet Basil since 2009, and Bill and I spent 4 hours there working on the script there.  I can’t tell you what exactly we came up with, but we made a lot of progress.  And there are a lot of cool things that we DIDN’T put in the script that we will ultimately share with you all as well.

We aren’t rushing this process, but Bill and I both agreed that we need to really nail this.  So stay tuned for more info!

Oh and the drive home was 2 1/2 hours!  I hate LA traffic!

What route will you be taking to Atlanta? If you are coming through the DFW area, let me know. If I am not working, I am sure we could set up a very nice pit stop.

Good to hear, as we all wait with barely restrained exuberance. Good luck and stay safe…

Was wondering, Axanar will now be 2 15 min. episodes, will those of us who ordered DVD get both on one or two DVD’s or is there no longer DVD’s due the new Fan Trek rules? If no DVD’s how will you fulfill? Downloadable ISO image file? Some people don’t have internet and won’t be able to download, I may not have internet when the episodes are finished my self…

That’s good to hear. You may have been asked this before, because I submitted a question somewhere or other, but did anyone at CBS/Paramount express condolences for Richard Hatch? Specifically, was anyone hu(man) enough to apologize that their lawsuit (regardless of being justified or not) prevented Richard Hatch from delivering his last great performance?
