Captain’s Log – May 30/31, 2015

Bridge 5.29.15.5

Saturday – Sunday, May 30-31, 2015

Well, it wasn’t much of an Axanar weekend, so I thought I would double up here.  Saturday was the Propworx Star Trek auction.  If you have ever wanted to collect a screen used prop or costume from Star Trek, well the Propworx auction is your best bet.  We have another one coming up in August at the Las Vegas Star Trek Convention.  What is great is that there is something for every budget, from $ 50 scripts to $ 5,000 costumes and props and everything in between.

The big news is the bridge is coming along great.  Dean and crew have finished all the consoles and the filling/sanding has begun.  The viewscreen is the only major component left.  You will even note that Dean and Co. pulled out one section today.  The beauty of our set is that the entire thing moves.

Bridge 5.29.15.1

Bridge 5.29.15.6

Only two upper consoles are left.

Bridge 5.29.15.4

Finishing, which starts with filling and sanding, has begun.

Bridge 5.29.15.3

I am off to see my Godsons, so I hope you all had a great weekend.  I am back in LA Wednesday.  In the mean time, Rob Burnett is working on the first shoot of production.

It looks like the set is in plywood? IF so then it’s a sturdier set than Desilu Studios had 🙂 cool

Have you people thought of ‘auctioning’ off a walk-on roll or three on Kickstart? Say the high bid gets a line. and the 2nd/3rd bidders get walk ons as ‘redshirts’?

    • Terry McIntosh says:

Extra roles were available in the first Kickstarter for the feature film, but Kickstarter does not offer an auction format for perks — they’re ‘fixed price’ only. We may be offering a few additional extras roles in the coming fundraiser that begins July 8th though!
