Nimoy documentary For the Love of Spock makes its goal – with time to spare!

We’re super pleased to announce that the Adam Nimoy-led Kickstarter to fund the Star Trek documentary, For the Love of Spock, has made its funding goal! With just less than a day to go as we write, the project has been backed to the tune of $627,998, nearly $30,000 over its $600,000 goal.

Axanar is proud to have helped Leonard Nimoy’s son, Adam, reach his goal, and we’re very keen to see the finished film.

But, with hours still left, Adam’s keen to go even further.

“Additional funds at this point will go towards better graphics, more production days with interviews,” Adam said on the project’s Kickstarter page, “the beginnings of an advertising budget and additional processes like mastering the film in 4K resolution, in order to stay current and insure our film is ready for any future distribution platform (including potential for theatrical release) in which a resolution higher than HD is preferred.”

So if you’ve not kicked in yet, now’s the time to give Adam a hand to make the best documentary he can about his father, and one of the most iconic Star Trek characters of all time.
